The Sioux City Bandits are pleased to announce their 2018 preseason game opponent will be the Sioux City Stampede. The game will take place at the Tyson Events Center on February 24, 2018, at 7:05pm.
The Stampede were recently crowned the 2017 Midwest Football Alliance Champions. They have won 18 of their last 19 games and are an impressive 33-8 since inception in 2014.
Bob Scott, Bandits Managing Partner had this to say about the game. "Our organization has a lot of respect fot the Stampede and what they have accomplished in four short years. We feel this is a game the fans of both teams will be excited to see."
"The Stampede will be going into the lion's den and playing a game that is out of our element. We understand that but we have the talent across the board that will allow us to compete," said Jason Garnand, Head Coach of the Stampede.
"Playing this game between two teams that have been successful organazations really gives Sioux City football fans a chance to come together and experience both of our great teams. We have a great relationship with the Stampede and look forward to playing them," stated Bandit's Head Coach Erv Strohbeen.
The Bandits will be releasing their 2018 regular season schedule within the next couple of weeks.
